  from Mark Harris
Hello and welcome to this week's Digital Music newsletter. Well, it's been quite an interesting week in the ever changing world of digital music. The most notable story this week involves the RIAA (yet again) and a very embarrassing episode when their website was hacked (oh what a shame). Read the full story below. Also this week, we take a look at buying an MP3 player. If you are looking to purchase a new MP3 player soon, either for yourself or someone else, then I would highly recommend reading the guide article on what to consider before you part with your money.

  from Jen Hubley
It's starting to look like we'll all be getting a tax rebate this year. I'm pretty excited, as the IRS flat-out refuses to let me write off coffee as a business-related expense, and inflation of fancy coffee prices continues to go through the roof.

Poll: What Would You Do with a Tax Rebate?
My top choices are 1) pay off some bills, 2) give money to several political campaigns, like Hollywood stars who want to cover their bases, or 3) convert whatever I get into coins, put them all in my bedroom and jump into them a la Scrooge McDuck.
