The most promising U.S. energy legislation in more than 30 years sailed through the House last week and stopped dead in the Senate when Republican senators launched a filibuster to stop the bill from coming to a vote. The battle isn't over yet, but the bill that eventually passes is almost certain to be weaker and less effective than the original. Get the facts, and then get in touch with your congressional representatives and urge them to support strong energy legislation.
